I am putting down some of the inspiring lines I have underlined while I was reading this book. 7. We have to take advantage when luck is on our side, and do as much to help it as it’s doing to help us. It’s called the principle of favorability. Or beginner’s luck.
  8. You must always know what it is that you want.
  9. Never stop dreaming.
  10. When you want something, all the universe conspires to help you achieve it.
  11. Making a decision is only the beginning of things.
  12. The close one gets to realizing his destiny, the more that destiny becomes his true reason for being.
  13. People need not fear the unknown if they are capable of achieving what they need and want.
  14. When you can’t go back, you have to worry only about the best way of moving forward. The rest is up to Allah, including the danger.
  15. If you can concentrate always on present, you’ll be a happy man.
  16. When a person really desires something, all the universe conspires to help that person to realize his dream.
  17. One is loved because one is loved. No reason is needed for loving.
  18. People are afraid to pursue their most important dreams, because they feel that they don’t deserve them, or that they’ll be unable to achieve them.
  19. There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure.
  20. Usually the threat of death makes people a lot more aware of their lives.

After reading ‘The Alchemist‘ I started reading other works of Paulo Coelho. I really like the way he explains the philosophy in an interestingly written fiction.
